years in medical device product development, or other highly regulated environment.
Desired/Preferred Qualifications MS in engineering or technical discipline 7
years of related experience Previous experience in medical device product development Experience with the development of high reliability devices Experience with engineering statistical tools/methods such as DOE, Monte Carlo, Minitab, ANOVA Experience using and FMEA and FTA methods Senior Mechanical Engineer within Medtronic Neuromodulation Patient Care Devices Position Responsibilities Define, develop, evaluate and verify designs & proposed design changes to meet product requirement and cost targets.
Perform root cause analysis and problem resolution related to assigned design responsibilities.
Technical work may be complex and difficult to relate to existing technologies, requiring broad application of knowledge and principles.
Participate on, or lead corrective action teams, as necessary to resolve product issues.
Complete documentation and reports for testing and regulatory submissions.
Develop specifications, test methodologies, and test equipment to evaluate design concepts and product.
Develop schedules, timelines and resource requirements for completion of assigned work.
Interface with multiple functional disciplines for design input, requirements and potential solutions to problems.
Effective communication and teaming with other departments and customers.
Act as a liaison with external suppliers to insure continuity of product supply by resolving supply and quality issues Work under minimal supervision.
Ensure understanding of all quality policy/system items that are personally applicable Follow all work/quality procedures to ensure quality system compliance and high quality work Click here to apply.
