Quality Assurance Engineer
Job Description:
Essential Duties:
Monitor, analyze, and work with operations to correct First Time Quality and Scrap Issues Work with Supply Base to resolve issues, and improve incoming component quality Develop/audit documents relating to ISO-9000 procedures and process Work with Product Engineering and Operations to implement continual improvement Skills and Capabilities:
General Analytically oriented Strong oral and written communications skills Strong organizational abilities Effective time management PC Skills (MS Office, Microsoft Project, Lotus Notes) Technical Knowledge of geometrical dimensioning and tolerances 8D, as well as other problem solving and root cause analysis techniques 6 Sigma Green Belt Preferred Knowledgeable in ISO 9000 processes, including PPAP Processes Ability to apply project management concepts Advance knowledge of statistics and SPC, as well as the ability to apply them in analyzing and eliminating quality problems Basic understanding of ergonomics Lean Concepts Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles Understanding of 5S and ability to apply to working situations Understand the 7 wastes and ability to analyze the operation and eliminate wastes.
Ability to develop and implement Poka-Yoke systems and fixturing Participate in Kaizen events

Bachelor's degree in engineering or other relevant discipline Possession of recognized qualification in quality engineering, audit processes and relevant certifications (e.

Six Sigma) is of a clear advantage
Experience:
Minimum 3 years of experience working in quality for a high volume manufacturing operation Work Environment :
