Jr. Cybersecurity Risk Management Analyst

Description We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Junior Cybersecurity Risk Management Professional to join our team.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the security and protection of our organization's assets, data, and systems from cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
We are looking for someone who possesses solid critical thinking skills, project management skills, network security knowledge, experience with analyzing third-party suppliers for cyber risk, strong technical writing, great initiative, and a solid work ethic.
Primary Responsibilities Research and conduct accurate cybersecurity risk assessments to identify potential cybersecurity risks and vulnerabilities and recommend treatment, analyzing technical network security and compliance/governance documentation as required.
Investigate and develop solutions to complex system-level and enterprise-wide cybersecurity risk management challenges, managing large projects and being responsible for key project deliverables.
Research, develop, implement, and maintain security policies, procedures, and controls, both internally for the team as well as for the enterprise, to address and mitigate identified risks and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate and communicate well with cross-functional teams to ensure that risk management objectives are met throughout the system, supplier, and/or software development life cycles.
Produce high-quality technical reports and presentations to communicate security risks and remediation plans to stakeholders.
Basic Qualifications US Citizenship is required and eligible for federal security clearance Bachelor of Science degree in an Information Technology or Cyber Security major and 2-4 years of prior relevant cyber work experience (in lieu of bachelor's degree, 5 years of cybersecurity work experience and professional cyber certifications may be considered to meet time requirements) Excellent verbal and written communication skills, for technical and non-technical subject matter Proven ability to regularly employ critical thinking and ingenuity to work assignments and develop new solutions to technical problems Advanced knowledge of and ability to apply advanced technical principles, theories and concepts within the Cybersecurity field Excellent project and time management skills Experience and ability to work well in a remote role/team Preferred Qualifications Multiple relevant professional security industry certifications (such as Security+, CISSP, GCIH, etc) through accrediting bodies such as the DoD, ISC2, ISACA, SANS or Comp TIA Knowledge of, and hands-on experience with systems using federal guidelines such as NIST SP 800-53, NIST SP 800-171, NIST SP 800-37, NIST SP 800-60, and FIPS 199/200 Experience developing software programs in at least one coding language and/or experience analyzing code for vulnerabilities in a SCA scanner Experience as a systems administrator, network security architect, or other role related to designing and implementing technical controls, hardening guides, and security settings within systems and networks Experience reviewing third party supplier security controls, including cloud SaaS, IaaS, and PaaS providers Understanding of risk management advanced concepts and experience balancing cyber risk with business needs Understanding of the security implications of firewall, router, proxy and intelligent switch rule base configuration settings as well as the provisioning, deployment, configuration, and/or administration of enterprise network security solutions and devices If you have a passion for cybersecurity, a strong work ethic, and meet the qualifications above, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity to join our team.
