Responsibilities:
- Verify insurance coverage and eligibility for patients - Manage all outpatient insurance verifications and prior authorizations - Obtain all outpatient referrals and inpatient prior authorizations for office and endoscopic procedures performed in our office - Communicate with insurance companies to resolve any discrepancies or issues - Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations - Update and maintain patient records in the electronic medical records system - Collaborate with medical billing team to ensure accurate billing and reimbursement Requirements:
- Previous experience in insurance verification or related field preferred - Knowledge of medical terminology, coding, and ICD-9 codes - Familiarity with managed care and dental insurance processes - Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry - Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Proficient in using electronic medical records systems Note:
