Background:
Valliant is a 4000
ton/day containerboard mill with 2 paper machines, 3 continuous digesters, 3 secondary fiber plants and a utilities/chemical recovery complex.
It currently operates with 300 mill employees and 150 contract maintenance employees.
support of the Fiberline operating and maintenance teams.
Assist Fiberline teams in troubleshooting process reliability issues and learn how the process and and its control relate to mechanical performance requirements.
Lead planning and implementation of both capital projects build technical skills in the mills workforce.
Requirements:

S.
in mechanical engineering from an ABET accredited program.
Prefer three (3) or more years experience in a medium to heavy industry performing project/maintenance engineering work.
Exposure to process control application is a prefered.
Possess excellent skills in written and oral communication, problem solving, time management, conflict resolution and task group facilitation.
Demonstrated ability to develop cooperative working relationships between other team members and teams.
Demonstrated ability to learn and continue to develop knowledge and skill base.
Strong computer knowledge and skills that include experience with spreadsheets including data analysis, word business and team needs and ability to manage multiple concurrent projects up and down a Fiberline.
Ability to excel with minimal supervision in a team environment.
Willing to work weekend duty on a rotating basis and overtime on shutdowns or to meet goals.
Ability to walk across the mill, climb stairs/ladders and work a shift in a hot, heights.
