Responsibilities:
o Completes store operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.
o Maintains store staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
o Maintains store staff job results by coaching, counseling employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
o Achieves financial objectives; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
o Formulates pricing policies by reviewing merchandising activities; determining additional needed sales promotion; authorizing clearance sales; studying trends.
o Markets merchandise by studying advertising, sales promotion, and display plans; analyzing operating and financial statements for profitability ratios.
o Secures merchandise by implementing security systems and measures.
o Maintains the stability and reputation of the store by complying with legal requirements.
o Maintains operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
o Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Required Skills and
Experience:
o 3 to 5 years experience in a Management role preferably within a retail environment.
o Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills; attention to detail and accuracy in work; and time management and organizational skills.
o Ability to maintain professionalism at all times when representing the company and management to the public and company associates.
Required Education:
o High School diploma or GED and five to eight years related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
