Summary:
Software Engineers assist in coding, testing, and debugging programs and assist with maintenance and documentation of program changes.
In this position, you will work cross-functionally with other departments such as product management and account management to ensure that data is converted accurately and in a timely manner for new CSI customers.
You will code, test and maintain primarily COBOL code to ensure that conversion date is as smooth a day as possible.
Responsibilities:
Code, test and debug program modifications assigned adhering to CSI's Software Engineering Group's policies and procedures Demonstrate competence in assigned activities of program development and change with a minimum level of bugs or problems Schedule and report activities based on management directive Document programs according to Software Engineering Group policies and procedures Demonstrate ability to handle system trouble calls Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

's and/or mainframe hardware, software, development skills and computer operations Basic written and verbal communication skills Ability to schedule and manage multiple tasks Analytical skills Experience with COBOL Experience working with Unisys mainframe systems is a plus Experience working with bank systems (primarily core service conversions) is a major plus Capable of handling multiple tasks and adhering to budgeted hours and target dates Bachelor's Degree (preferably including courses in statistics, mathematics, accounting, computer science) or equivalent.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
