Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element):
Ability to do the work of an Industrial Equipment Maintenance Mechanic without more than normal supervision. I have the ability to perform the common Industrial Equipment Maintenance Mechanic duties which includes determining the proper materials, equipment, or parts that are required for repairs or maintenance. I can interpret guides such as blueprints, sketches, and technical manuals to perform maintenance or repairs; perform repairs or maintenance on industrial equipment; and troubleshoot to diagnose malfunctions; and vehicle and forklift operation. I work under normal supervision of a work leader or journey-level employee who observes tasks in progress and upon completion to ensure they are properly performed. - Failure to meet this Screen Out Element will result in an ineligible rating. Ability To Do The Work Of The Position Without More Than Normal Supervision Screen OutAbility to Interpret Instructions, Specification, etc. (includes blueprint reading)Ability To Use and Maintain Tools and EquipmentKnowledge of Equipment Assembly, Installation, Repair, etc.Knowledge of MaterialsTechnical Practices (theoretical, precise, artistic)Trouble Shooting Physical requirements include standing, stooping, bending, climbing and working in tight areas in cramped or awkward positions. Frequently lifts and carries items weighing up to 75 pounds (with assistance), and often puts forth similar effort in pushing, pulling, turning, and positioning parts, assemblies, equipment, and tools. Work is performed inside and outside being exposed to varied weather conditions, dust, fumes, gases and extremes in temperature.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
